Life Youth Suicide Prevention Program

The Life Program

Our Life Youth Suicide Prevention Program focusses on suicide awareness and prevention by educating youth regarding help-seeking behaviour. To this end, the Dr Edward Koch Foundation has developed a youth suicide prevention workshop tailored specifically for youth aged between 14 and 17 years, which has been trialled in a local high school. Feedback was very successful. Some of the topics covered in the workshop include body image, sexuality, self-harm, depression, anxiety and bullying. Our aim is to increase mental health awareness and help seeking behaviour for young people and for their friends and peers.

It will be rolled out to young people in sporting youth clubs in 2021/22. For more information, contact the Foundation on 0409 765 305. To register an Expression of Interest, click here.
